Website Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Analysis
Keyword Density and First Phrases Analysis
The Keyword Density is the ratio of the number of occurrences of a Targeted Keyword
Phrase to the total number of words in a Web page.
The Keyword Density ratio is a useful analysis of the words in a Website page. It
provides a Web spider's view, unrelated to the sense or emotional appeal of the
content of a Web Page. Extracting the words of a page does not include images containing
text.
The more often a Keyword phrase or synonyms of a Keyword phrase appears in a Website
page (and in the Website as a whole), the more likely the Search Engine Ranking
for the Keyword Phrase will improve.
The Keyword Density of a Keyword Phrase should be about 2% to 4% for the best results.
Any phrase with a Keyword Density ratio more than 4% is likely to be regarded as
Keyword Stuffing. The Website will be penalised with lower rankings by the Search
Engines. In any event, the value of a high Keyword Density ratio is dubious. It
is far better to insert frequently used synonyms of Keywords, rather than concentrating
on just one Keyword.
If the Web page reads well to a visitor, it is unlikely that the Search Engine will
treat the page as SPAM. Try to optimise each page for from 3 to 5 related phrases.
But above all, the copy must read well.
First Phrases
The order that Keyword Phrases occur is important, as more weight is given to the
first words by the Search Engines. The order of the Words extracted may not be what
is expected. They are determined by the structure of the Website. It is important
that the First 25 Phrases include as many targeted Keyword Phrases as possible.

As can be seen in the Keyword Density Analysis in the
Web Page analysis,
there is a concentration of Keywords relating to Websites, SEO and "Search Engines"
in the Home page. For a search done using the targeted words, there will be a good
chance that the Home page shown will have a reasonable SERP Ranking.
If the resulting SERP Ranking is not good (after the initial Sandbox Effect period
has been completed) then successive rewrites will be needed to improve the Keyword
Density of targeted Phrases.
- Make sure that the Keywords Phrases chosen are frequently used by Website visitors.
- Eliminate infrequently used synonyms.
- The most popular Keyword Phrases should appear in the Keyword Meta tag.
- Concentrating on a single Keyword, as opposed to a Keyword phrase, is not desirable.
- Spurious words that do not contribute to the main topic should be eliminated.
- The order of the words extracted is also important. The higher up in the order,
the greater the weighting these words will get.
- Putting words in small or hidden print is of no value and will be regarded as Keyword
Stuffing.
