Checking all Website Links
There is nothing more frustrating for the visitor to a Website than getting a 404
(page cannot be found) message. All the hard work setting up the Website is lost
in a second.
This page will show all broken or dead links of a Website, and allow them to be
easily identified.
Analysis of Internal and External Links
- Enter the URL of a Website
- Click on the "Extract Links" button.
- The button "Link Analysis" will then appear. When clicked, all the Internal and
External Links of the Web Page will be listed.
- There will be a lengthy delay for large Websites.
Selecting a link from the Combo Box will change the URL.
The Link Analysis will show the response time and the status of each link. If there
are many Links, the Link Analysis can take a while. There is a 15 second timeout
on each Link checked.
- Each link should have a descriptive name, including Keywords.
- Separate each Keyword by a hyphen "-", not an underscore (_).
- All dead or broken Links should be removed or fixed.
- The response time for each Page download should be sub second.
